Guided Tours of Bury Court Gardens

In the afternoon there will be a chance to participate in a half hour guided tour of the garden. The tour will alternate between the walled garden  (April, June and August) and the front garden (May, July and September).

Text Box: Inner Walled Garden
The inner walled garden was the first naturalistic garden designed by Piet Oudolf in the UK. It was planted in 1997 and is continually changed and developed by the owner, John Coke in collaboration with Piet. The garden is dynamic with many interesting and unusual perennials, climbers and shrubs.
Tours around this walled space are in April, June and August.

Front Garden

The front garden was designed by Christopher Bradley-Hole and planted in 2001, several years after the walled garden. It is designed around a formal grid pattern of flowerbeds with rusty iron edging and gravelled paths, with a central covered seating area and a reflective pool.

Tours around the front garden are in May, July and September.
